Vignesh Venkat, a tech student and gaming enthusiast from San Francisco, developed the word game Hodordle. With a comparable design, premise, and gameplay, it is a variant of the well-known game Wordle.
Players in Hodordle, like in Wordle, are given a mystery word that they must decipher. However, players have 8 chances in Hardle compared to 6 chances in Wordle to guess the secret word. Players now have a significantly greater number of chances to complete the problem as a result.
The usage of pink, blue, and gray tones in Hardle as opposed to Wordle's use of green, gray, and yellow colors is one obvious distinction. The twist of the game is significantly influenced by these colors. The mischievous twins represented by the pink and blue tiles can switch roles at any time. For instance, if the blue tiles have part of the correct letters today but the pink tiles have all of them, the next day their roles can be reversed. The unpredictable nature of Hardle distinguishes him as the "Hard Wordle."
Players begin the game of Hodordle with an empty 8x5 grid and no hints or suggestions. To optimize each guess and identify the letters, meticulous planning and execution of actions are essential, just like in Wordle.
