Mathler is a new game developed by Daniel Tait and can be played on the website foodlewordle.io. Mathler presents players with a number and challenges them to solve an equation using the digits 0 to 9 and the operations +, -, *, and / placed in six boxes.
The objective of Mathler is to find the correct equation that results in the given number. There be multiple ways to arrive at the answer, and the challenge lies in determining the accurate solution among the possibilities.
Similar to Wordle, Mathler provides hints to assist players. A digit that is correct and in the proper location will turn green, while a correct digit in the wrong position will turn yellow. Incorrect digits will be displayed in gray.
If you answer correctly, Mathler will display a pop-up with information about your played games, success rate, longest streak, and guess distribution. There is also an option to share your achievements with others.
While Wordle and similar games might initially seem to be very comparable, Mathler is far more challenging. There are six empty tiles that must be filled with one of the mathematical operators. You only need the equation for this game; in Nerdle, you also need to guess the solution.
Sadly, because the goal amount changes every day, it is impossible to employ tactical calculations and strategic thinking to cheat your way through Mathler. Instead, you'll need to go to the Mathler website every day and use the criticism from each estimate to go closer to the answer.
Similar to Wordle, green tiles denote that a number or operator is in the right place, orange tiles denote that it is in the equation but not in the right place, and grey tiles denote that it is not in the solution. Despite the layout's familiarity, completing each Mathler is a difficult feat.
