Intro
Farflung is a geography puzzle where you answer five clues by pinning countries on a world map. The twist is that several countries may fit each question, but less obvious correct answers earn more distance.
How to Play
- Read the Clue: Identify what the question asks about a country.
- Drop a Pin: Click or tap the map, then select Drop Pin to submit your answer.
- Build Your Score: Find five correct answers and aim for a longer total distance. Classic mode gives you 60 seconds per round, while Wander mode removes the timer.
Tips & Strategy
- Think beyond the obvious: Before choosing a familiar country, consider smaller nations that may also match the clue.
- Check the writing: To inquire as to an official language is not to inquire as to a popular language. Read any further note carefully.
- Lock in a solid answer first. A risky guess gets you nothing if wrong , be accurate over rare .
- Explore the map tools: Zoom in or search by country name for small states and island nations.
- Submit before time runs out: Selecting a country is not the same as locking in your answer. Check your pin and press Drop Pin before the Classic timer expires.
Experience
The tricky part isn't always knowing geography; it's spotting a less familiar country that still fits the clue. I'd start with a country I know is correct, then look for a better-scoring alternative before submitting.
